Gerard Henry, MD completed a urology residency with a 1 year basic science fellowship in men’s health at Duke University and is Board Certified by the American Board of Urology. In addition, he is the #1 US AMS IPP implanter over the last ten years, #1 published author on IPPs in the world over the last ten years, has won best clinical abstract at two national meetings, and has written 5 Journal of Urology CME articles on men’s health of which one was a cover article.
Dr. Henry is also the inventor of the Henry Mummy Wrap, Henry Finger Sweep, and New Length Measurement Technique. Currently, he is secretary of the Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons and president-elect of the Louisiana Urology Society.
Dr. LeRoy Jones is currently in private practice with Urology Austin in Austin Texas. Before this position he was a partner at Urology San Antonio for 18 years. While in San Antonio he developed and opened the Center for Men’s Health and Wellness, a division of Urology San Antonio. He was recruited to Austin to help open a Men’s Clinic. He is currently a Clinical Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Previous academic appointments include The University of New Mexico Health Science Center and at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Jones received his medical education at Washington University St. Louis. Surgical and Urological training was at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston respectively.
Dr. Jones is considered an authority in the field of sexual medicine, having performed over 3000 prosthetic surgeries. He is designated as a center of excellence by Boston Scientific for prosthetic surgery. He has numerous publications in the field of sexual medicine. Dr. Jones is internationally recognized and has taught surgery in over 25 countries throughout the world. He is the past president of The Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons and director of surgical education. He is also an active member of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America.
Dr. Ryan Owen is the newest member to the Clinical Advisory Board at Signati Medical. He is fellowship trained in male reproductive health and microsurgery. His medical journey began at Texas Tech University School of Medicine. After graduation, he began a Urology residency at The University of Tennessee and then completed an additional year of fellowship at the University of North Carolina. Currently living in Lubbock, Texas, his practice focuses on a wide range of urologic disease with a focus on male reproduction. He is an assistant professor at the Texas Tech University Urology residency program, where he has introduced residents and students to clinical and surgical aspects of male reproductive health.
Dr. Owen has contributed numerous publications toward the field of urology spanning from testosterone supplementation and erectile dysfunction to genetic testing for men seeking fertility. Given his focus toward the advancement of men’s health, Dr. Owen has joined the Signati Medical team with the ambition to help create a safe and efficient method to perform a non-invasive vasectomy procedure.
Dr. Owen is proud to serve his family and the West Texas community, in which he was raised. He is married and has 3 children. They spend time looking for adventure wherever they can find it.
Rahul Mehan, MD, is the founder of East Valley Urology (EVU) Center in Mesa, Arizona, and a board-certified urologist focusing on urologic oncology. He has extensive training in testicular, renal, prostate, and bladder cancers at EVU Center. He is a skilled surgeon and dedicated to providing his patients with the highest quality medical care.
Dr. Mehan retained his certification from the American Board of Urology and is affiliated with Banner Baywood Medical Center and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center in the Phoenix area. He is a published author with articles appearing in The Journal of UrologyⓇ and the Journal of Pediatric Urology. Dr. Mehan presents at regional and national meetings on a variety of urologic topics, including a presentation on testicular cancer using his original research at the American Urological Association’s 2011 Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Mehan completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and received his medical degree from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. Following his graduation, Dr. Mehan completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in urology at the Indiana University School of Medicine located on the campus of Purdue University.
In addition to providing quality care to his patients, Dr. Mehan enjoys playing basketball and tennis and has a passion for the outdoors. He loves spending time with his family.
Dr. Michel Labrecque MD, PhD (epidemiology) is an emeritus professor from the Department of Family and Emergency Medicine at Laval University, Quebec City, Canada. As of 2020, he has performed more than 35,000 vasectomies. He was the first physician to practice the No Scalpel Vasectomy (NSV) in Canada in 1992. He has taught NSV to over 60 clinicians nationally and internationally, has spoken at many international conferences, and has written extensively on the topic. He also worked with various non-governmental organizations (FHI360, EngenderHealth, No Scalpel Vasectomy International, and World Vasectomy Day) to promote high-quality vasectomy services in low-resource countries.
After completing residency training in 1983, Dr. Doug Stein practiced adult general urology for over 17 years in Tampa, Florida. In 2000, he stopped seeing new general urology patients to devote all his time to vasectomy and vasectomy reversal, eventually providing vasectomy services at up to 21 locations in Florida, many under the federal Title 10 program for low- income men without insurance. In 2010, he began his international vasectomy mission work and has now led 38 vasectomy missions to a variety of countries including the Philippines, Haiti, Kenya, Mexico, and Indonesia. He is the Co-Founder of World Vasectomy Day, the largest annual male-oriented family planning event in history. In addition to training doctors overseas, Dr. Stein has provided individualized training for 155 doctors from 5 continents at his main office in Tampa/Lutz, Florida. He has performed over 45,000 vasectomies and 1900 vasectomy reversals.
Dr. Pannell is the inventor of the Signati Medical noninvasive vasectomy procedure. He is currently the Surgical Clerkship Director of The Medical College of Georgia Southwest Clinical Campus. He also serves as the Chairman of the Crisp Regional Hospital Authority and The Crisp County Board of Health. Although his career has been primarily devoted to caring for major trauma patients and managing general and vascular surgical problems, he never forgot the young mother who died while he was a medical student. Following a complicated pregnancy, she was undergoing a procedure to ligate the fallopian tubes and had an anesthetic complication. Dr. Pannell became a strong advocate for vasectomies in family planning and has worked diligently to promote the acceptance of male sterilization procedures which are less complicated and dangerous than female surgery.
